Tell us about the brain behind “EWA”
The EWA project is conceived by Kulture Krest Entertainment and Blayzelyne Records, these Companies are leading media and events management firms based in Nigeria and United Kingdom; these companies earned credibility from outstanding commitment to the satisfaction of their clients over the years; this has also positioned them as models for others in the entertainment industry.

What brought about the concept
There has been a devalue in our culture and morals amongst our youths. This fact made us to conceptualize “EWA” project. Furthermore, We realized that there are no good beauty pageants that really promote culture, tourism and morals amongst the youths of nowadays. The concept is to project the richness of the Yoruba Culture and tourism across the Oodua states (Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti & Lagos ) and Edo State, which is part of oodua decendants .The contest is tailored towards finding the Most Beautiful Girl, but in a very unique way as “EWA” contest combines and embraces cultural heritage, intelligence, beauty, fashion and style.

What are your objectives
To project the richness of the Yoruba Culture and tourism among the Oodua descendants to the world at large. Its also designed to promote a healthy competition amongst young vibrant ladies in the area and unify youths as it serves to complement sports in a unique way.

Tell us more about “EWA”
EWA is a unique concept which promote cultural Heritage and moral values, while adopting various means to achieve this.
Although it’s a “beauty pageant”, “EWA” goes beyond the facial beauty . The winner will be selected based on the following : Morals, Ability to prepare local dishes, knowledge of our cultural values and believes, Composure, Dynamism, Gracefulness, Poise, Posture, Facial expression etc
This project is expected to take place in all southwest states of Nigeria, Edo state inclusive.
The winner from each state will take part in the EWA Odua contest by representing their various states, after which a winner will emerge and will be known as EWA ODUA.She will be a symbol of integration of the Oodua nation.
Thea pet project, which is to promote basic primary education, will be coordinated by the winner (EWA) IN EACH state, while the EWA Odua will be the overall coordinator of the pet project in the oodua states.. Various side attractions like cultural dances, fashion parade, playlets, showcasing of upcoming models and lots more will be showcased
The winner of Ewa in each state will be rewarded with the following: Regalia as queen
Branded New car, Sponsored trips to 2 major National events, Represent the State at EWA ODUA CONTEST, Cash prize, Modeling Contract, Coordinate the EWA Pet Project in the State.

How many Yoruba elders have endorsed the project
First Class OBAS in oodua states, high chiefs and notable indigenes and business moguls.

Is the program going to be a continuous one or a one off
This project is an annual project, while the tenure of the Queen “EWA” will run for a Year. The “EWA” will be representing the “EWA brand” in the States and promote cultural heritage and values of the state and Yoruba nation wherever she goes and in whatever she does at official functions throughout her reign.

Do u have any plans of extending the contest to other parts of the country.
We are taking it gradual.we want to start from the southwest and later consider other parts of the country.As you know its a big project that is time consuming.So will give it serious consideration. Thank you
