Funke Akindele has defiled controversies surrounding her decision to marry her hubby, Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede. She has gone ahead to marry the politician and businessman.
The wedding ceremony was held yesterday saturday, May 26,2012 at The Haven Event Centre, GRA Ikeja.
Funke, who is a top Nollywood actress and Glo ambassador, secretly held her Nikkai with Almaroof last Thursday at her family house in Lagos. Only few selected families and friends were informed about the move.
The wedding has taken many by surprise as some were expecting the wedding to hold on later on in the year as announced by her publicist, Big Sam Media.
The solemnization began with a traditional wedding, which was anchored by Foluke Ogunjimi of the Sokoyokoto programme fame. Then the The Very Revd M.O Ogunsoji JP took charge of the Christian ceremony before ace comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka took over as the MC of the event.
Present at the event were close knitted family members, friends of the bride and groom while the members of the Nollywood world were ably represented by Genevieve Nnaji, Chico and Joy Ejiro,Lola Margret, Ireti Bakare, Bimbo Thomas, Desmond Elliot and Ini Edo.
Funke allegedly becomes Kehinde’s 3rd Wife, though it is still unclear if AlMaroof other wives attended the wedding.
