Few weeks after yemojanews.com broke the news that the father of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, Chief Alani Suarau Bankole impregnated a 25 year old lady named Bola and married her secretly, we want to reveal to you again that the prominent and socialite wife of the Egba Chief, Chief Mrs Adunni Bankole has packed out of her husband’s house.

According to information at our disposal, Adunni Bankole who is the Iyalode of Gbagura, Abeokuta, Ogun State moved to her own house which she has been building secretly for some time now.

The house, described as exotic and simple is located inside Jajo Estate, Ikorodu, Lagos and is christened “Praise Court”.

Though, there have been speculations in some quarters that Iyalode Adunni Bankole decided to move out of the Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos house of her husband because of the new wife the husband married, but a family source defended that the soft-spoken Iyalode has been planning to leave Alani Bankole’s home for years and that was why she built the new house which took several years to complete.

Yemojanews.com also learnt that out of about the 12 wives of Alani Bankole, it was Adunni Bankole and two other wives that stayed in his Oregun, Lagos home.

“When Dimeji Bankole became Speaker, Chief Alni Bankole moved permanently to his house in Oluwo area of Onikolobo, Abeokuta and practically abandoned the Oregun home. So, Adunni Bankole had been staying in the house alone. And you know she has grown up children who are already married. So, she is always lonely in the house. I can also tell you that Iyalode has endured a lot of humiliation in the place that is not too good to be published”, our source explained.

Interestingly, Iyalode Adunni Bankole had a special prayer and dedication of her mansion, “praise Court” this morning Saturday, August 4, 2012 and the VIP guest at the very private event was former President Olusegun Obasanjo. The former president commissioned the house and also said his prayers to God for more blessings and long life for the occupants of the house. Ex president Obasanjo spent about 10 minutes at the ceremony before he left for another engagement.

The presence of OBJ at Iyalode Adunni Bankole’s house dedication has set tongue wagging as it is a known fact that Iyalode’s husband, Chief Alani Bankole and ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo are enemies in the Nigeria political terrain and Egba, Ogun state traditional institutions.

And for OBJ to honor the invitation of Iyalode shows the high esteem the former President holds the wife of his political ‘enemy’.
