Gov. Aregbesola Blows N1 Billion On Foreign Trips In 22 Months!!! – PDP

Osun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has questioned the rationale behind the recent trip of Ogeni Aregbesola to Qatar which according to the party is the 34th in the 22 months old government.

The party is also challenging Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to refute its findings that over N1 billion has been expended on the 34 trips with nothing to show in the State despite governments claim of meeting and inviting investors.

The PDP, in a statement issued by its Director of Publicity, Prince Diran Odeyemi, said “we are aware that Ogbeni Aregbesola is right now in Qatar with the Speaker of the State House of Assembly Hon Najeem Salaam, two aides and ten of his Lagos based business associates”.

According to Prince Odeyemi, “in the last 30 days, Ogbeni Aregbesola has travelled to the United State of America twice, he once accompanied Asiwaju Tinubu to lauch a book in Chicago and went again few days after, he is presently in Qatar and from there wiil travel to Dubai and India before coming back next week”

“The people of Osun are no fools and so can no longer be decieved with the government’s repeated claims of searching for investors moreso that of all the trips, the only one we saw was a cuba calisthenic  trainer who assembled 800 school children for an exercise that has no benefit to the people of Osun State” PDP declared.

“We are of the opinion that Ogbeni Aregbesola has been using the state resources to finance his personal health and businesses around the world as we are concerned that he took along with him to Qatar 10 of his business associates and few political friends all of who will follow him to India for medical check-up.”

“We challenge the ACN government to come out with the amount so far spent spent on foreign trips including the travelling allowances and other expenditures if its claim to good record and public accountability is to be taken serious by the people.”
