Omotola’s Hubby, Capt. Matthew Sacked From Air Nigeria
The husband of one of Nigeria’s hottest and most beautiful actresses, Omotola Jalade- Ekehinde, Captain Matthew Ekehinde has been thrown into the labour market.
Captain Matthew was among the 800 staffers relieved of their duties by the CEO of Air Nigeria, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim few weeks ago over what he called disloyal and lack of commitment to the company.
However, we gathered that the father of four is seriously searching for a new job as at the time we are filing this report.
It is still sketchy where the light skinned pilot will be heading to, but an insider squealed that he is working so hard to get a new job at the troubled Arik Airline or better still, a very reliable foreign carrier that is ready to agree to his terms and conditions.
A call and text message put through to his wife over his husband’s current state is yet to be replied.
Captain Matthew, according to some of his friends is very diligent and committed to his work, but has been very unlucky with most of the airlines he had worked with.
It would be recalled the pilot had worked with the defunct airlines; Skyline and Sosoliso before joining Air Nigeria few years ago.

I don’t knw y u guys ar shedding tears over a simple story dat Captain Ekeinde was sacked alongside over 700 staffers. I salute yemojanews bcos few pple even know dat d man works @ Air Nigeria. I dnt knw wat is disparaging about d story. Jimoh Ibrahim himself said he sacked some workers at Air Nigeria. Captain Ekeinde married Omotola when she had already become a celebrity. If he doesn’t want any attention, he shuld have gone to pick his wife frm d village or one of d beautiful ladies roaming d streets of Lagos. I remembered dat Ekeinde nd Omotola even did their wedding inside a plane midair, u guys shuld tell me which person ever did dat in Nigeria. He courted attention nd he is gettin it. So, wats d cries about. Mtchhhhhhwwwww.
Yemoja u had better re post ur story. You obviously posted this shit to ridicule omotola and her husband which is very unfair. You re the first person to post this nd u shld be the first to refute it now.Omotola is asking u now to post the sack letter since u knw he was sacked, how come u have no evidence. You made d man look like a fool. The airline got closed down yet u said sacked even if he got sacked 800 staffs but no now he is omotola’s hubby as a celeb u must ridicule him.Go to omotola’s twitter page nd check why nt provide the sack letter now.The airline was obviouslt shut down nd he has another job now that he has another job u wont post that he has gotten a job in soso airlie but quic to post abt the sack rubbish!
This writer needs to find out if “sack” is appropriate in a situation in which a troubled organization closes shop and ask its workers to go home. The ill-informed writer should have used the word “lay-off” because no statement indicating a severance of relationship emanated from AirNigeria.
Are you aware that the distressed and indebted Airline is about to be taken over by AMCOM which recently did same to Aero contractors – another indebted airline?
so, why would you want to hurt the integrity of the young hard working captain Ekeinde simply because the company he worked with faces a myriads of problems which include, but not limited to, alleged tax evasion, forgery of tax clerance certificate, refusal to file tax returns for year ended 2011,illegal diversion of Aviation bail-out funds?
Your story: “Captain Matthew was among the 800 staffers relieved of their duties by the CEO of Air Nigeria, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim few weeks ago over what he called disloyal and lack of commitment to the company”
My clarification: AirNigeria called back the staff before it was grounded and made them swear to an oath of allegiance bevause it had faced a barrage of protests from them, including its licensed engineers who complained that it wanted them to certify an ailing airline as fit.
Moreover, its air pilots, incluuding the said captain, protested poor remuneration which was resolved through the intervention of FAAN Director-General, Harold Demuren. So, what are you talking about? Anywy, one would see that you are only trying to exploit the commercial value of Omotola for this funny non-news.
Good luck!
Indeed ahn they fail to clarify a story before posting. You called d couples for wat?
Do u fact check at all? Obviously, u dnt have the fact about Air Nigeria’s ordeal. It is Jimoh’s dilemma and not Captain Ekeinde.
Well contrary to ur news, the air nigeria was closed down and Capt. Has a new job…….. Omotola said so…..
How true is this now ehn.Fake rumors abt,u havent heard frm omotola or d man yet u post it
